Description Last year´s introductory webinar from the 3D Machine Vision vertical had focused on the new Vision vertical itself and its vision of how measurement technology can contribute to changing manufacturing processes.

This year´s sessions from the 3D Machine Vision vertical are going to focus on selected solutions and technologies, starting with the Early Adopter Product FARO Robo-Imager Mobile, a mobile inspection station for automated measurements at the shop floor.

On 3D Machine Vision: The new FARO 3D Machine Vision vertical develops configurable measurement and automation solutions for both control and measurement at the manufacturing floor.

Speaker Intro Kai Gärtling has been with FARO for 10 years as Key Account Manager. Additionally he has several years of experience as managing director of a measurement, integration, automation and service company. Kai Gärtling rejoined FARO in 2017 as Product Manager for the new 3D Machine Vision Vertical.

Webinar: Mobile Mapping Kit - Turn your FARO Laser Scanner into a low-cost mobile mapping solution

Description Increase scanner productivity up to 50x. A mobile scanning system is an integration of remote sensors and time synchronized navigation. This is a powerful application for collecting 3D information in a large scale. The pre-calibrated system can be mounted on many mobile platforms, gives access to all I/O, and is ready for upgrades.

Description 3D laser scanner collect billions of 3D points. Many applications require the extraction of certain information within these vast amounts of data. SmartPointCloud describes new algorithm of segmentation, feature extraction, and object recognition to make point clouds aware of their content. This reduces the time spent extracting certain information significantly and enable further application like automatically update models of reality.
